Мовний конкурс 2016

Учора, 5 квітня 2016 року, на факультеті іноземних мов відбувся мовний конкурс. У ньому брали участь першокурсники, майбутні вчителі іноземних мов та зарубіжної літератури. Студенти мали змогу продемонструвати свої таланти та здобуті під час навчання навички.

Спочатку усі групи мали представити себе і розкрити надану їм тему за допомогою пісні. Змагання відкрила 101 підгрупа зі своєю піснею на тему «Мода». Виступ викликав шквал емоцій серед глядачів. Далі естафету перейняла 102 підгрупа. Студенти виконали авторську пісню на тему «Щоденна рутина» під живу музику. Згодом виступила 103 підгрупа, представивши себе за допомогою презентації та заспівавши пісню. Незабаром на сцену вийшла 104 підгрупа з презентацією та піснею «Cause we are young». Завершила цю частину змагання 105 підгрупа, коротко представивши себе аудиторії.

Далі учасники мали продемонструвати свою театральну майстерність та вміння застосовувати свій словниковий запас. Кожна з підгруп мала підготувати 5-хвилинну сценку. 101 підгрупа оформила свій виступ у формі модного шоу, а 102 підготувала повчальну казку про принцес. 103 підгрупа продемонструвала суперечку між подружжям, 104 в жартівливій формі обіграла студентське життя, а 105 багато жартувала та заспівала пісню.

Настав час оголошення результатів. На конкурсі не було переможців і переможених, адже кожен колектив показав себе з гарної сторони. Кожній підгрупі присудили певне звання. Так, 101 – найартистичніша, 102 – найбільш вокабулярна, 103 – найсором’язливіша, 104 – найбільш вестерна, 105 – найдружніша.

Кожен колектив отримав невеликі подарунки від факультету: диски зі словниками, календар та ручки. Всі учасники отримали величезне задоволення від заходу! Для кожного з них це не лише мовний конкурс, а величезний крок до саморозвитку!

The Language Competition

On the 5th April, the Language Competition 2016 took place at the Faculty of Foreign Languages. Every group of the 1st year of studying participated. This competition helped participants to show what they have already learned at our faculty. We may see the great amount of working done by Group 101, 102, 103, 104 and 105.  Each group was given a different topic, which all the groups were working hard at during the 1st and 2nd term. The competition had three parts: a song, a play and a poster. 

Firstly, each group sang a song to represent themselves. The audience was greatly impressed by a song of group 101. They had so “stylish” clothes, it was very humorous. Group 102 showed the audience the original song called “Daily Routine”. It was accompanied by playing the guitar. Group 103 showed the presentation and also sang a lively song. Next song “Cause We Are Young” was sung by group 104. It was known to everyone, so many fellow students joined singing a song. Group 105 finished the 1st part of the competition with a short presentation in German.

Secondly, all the groups had an opportunity to show their acting skills. They had to present their language skills using as much words of the topic they were given to deal with. Group 101 showed a fashionable TV-show called “Fashion is my profession”.  Their acting was full of funny moments, so the audience couldn’t resist laughing. Group 102 showed a beautiful version of the Disney fairytale. It was a play, where many princesses taught the Donkey how to deal with household duties. After this informative acting Group 103 performed a quarrel between a husband and a wife. It was very funny. Next Group 104 showed us some difficulties of being a student at the Faculty of Foreign Languages. This performance was very true to life, so all the presents were laughing at different students situations like a first lection, doing homework, students holidays. And Group 105 impressed the audience by a play in German. It sounded very native. 

Then a five-minute break was announced. The time to give out the results came. There were neither winners nor losers. Every group was called with the most suitable adjective. So Group 101 was the most artistic, 102 was the most “vocabulirful”, 103 was the shiest, 104 was the most western one and 105 was called the friendliest.

Each group was presented with runner-up prizes. They were two disks with dictionaries, pens and a calendar. 

This Language Competition helped all the groups to become closer and to find out what amount of work every student has done since the beginning of studying. The judges were surprised at our knowledge. Honestly, we were also surprised at it. We have seen a great difference since September. We showed not only our language skills, but also our creativity. 

I think that every group was very happy to take part in such a contest, because it helped every participant to improve his / her self-development.
