Great emotions and useful experience

On March 13, 2021 I took part in the ESU National Public Speaking Competition. Although I didn’t get to the final, but still I am very glad that I was a participant, semifinalist, of this interesting event. Until now I am under pleasant impression. The competition was very exciting and I am sure that each participant worried no less than me. For some it may not be the first time, but for me it was the first experience. For this I am very grateful to the whole team: Nadiya Viktorivna, all the jury and participants. It was a cool opportunity to practice my speaking skills and to communicate. It was very interesting to listen to native speakers and communicate with them. I was also amazed by the speeches of other participants. The general theme of the semi-final was "The best route to change engages all voices", each participant came up with a theme related to this topic and prepared a speech. Everyone tried to demonstrate a point of view and argumentation. The participants also took examples from their own lives and their personal experience.

Everyone is a great fellow and they did a great job. It was interesting to hear the opinions of everyone, their understanding of various global things and problems. The level of participants' knowledge, their vocabulary and their conversational English skills was also noticeable.

I advise all students to try themselves in such a competition, this is a cool opportunity, great emotions and useful experience.

Such interesting contests are held at our Faculty of Foreign Languages and students are encouraged to be active. Students get out of their comfort zone, publicly demonstrate their thoughts, practice conversational English and improve their skills.
I think that next year my group will take part in this competition again and we hope to get to the final and win.
