What documents should you take to the university

Documents for admission of international applicants:  

  • An application for admission;
  • An international passport of a foreigner or any other document which identifies a stateless individual with a D-type visa (D-13) for the countries with visa procedure of entry issued by consular offices of Ukraine in a home country on the basis of an invitation letter (the original document and 2 copies of translation into Ukrainian language approved by a notary);
  • Birth certificate (the original and a copy of translation into Ukrainian approved by a notary);
  • An invitation letter for receiving a visa for study (original);
  • Document, confirming your previous education (high school certificate, Bachelor’s degree certificate) (the original and 2 copies of translation into Ukrainian approved by a notary);
  • The supplement to the education certificate (with the list of courses taken) (if eligible), (the original document and 2 copies of translation into Ukrainian approved by a notary);
  • Medical insurance (valid for the period of study);
  • A medical certificate of health (086-o form) or its copy, certified by the official health authority of the country from which the foreigner came, and issued not earlier than two months before the departure of a foreigner to study in Ukraine (the original and a copy of translation into Ukrainian approved by a notary);
  • Document proving the absence of HIV infection (the original and a copy of translation into Ukrainian approved by a notary);
  • 10 (ten) photos sized 30 x 40 mm;
  • A copy of the certificate of a foreign Ukrainian (if eligible);
  • There are additionally submitted at the entrance to the postgraduate studies: a research proposal on the chosen scientific specialty or a list of published scientific works and inventions in the Ukrainian or English language, certified in the established manner at the place of work / training of the candidate.
  • To be admitted to the doctoral program, there should additionally be given in Ukrainian or English a thematic plan of dissertation work for obtaining a scientific degree of the Doctor of Science; a diploma on having obtained the corresponding degree (the original and a copy of translation into Ukrainian approved by a notary).

What to know after receiving an invitation

After receiving an invitation for study, foreign applicants must apply to the nearest embassy of Ukraine and obtain a long-term visa type D "Student Visa". To apply for a "Student Visa", an applicant must have the original of the invitation and original legal educational documents, issued by educational institutions of other countries required for admission. ARRIVAL TO UKRAINE Before traveling to Ukraine, the applicant must inform the International Centre the exact date, time, and way of arrival (plane, train, etc.). The meeting procedure requires a special Letter that is sent to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the Ukrainian State Center for International Education. Upon arrival to Ukraine, the applicant submits all the necessary documents for admission to the university committee, passes the entrance exams, signs a contract for training, applies for accommodation in a hostel and pays for tuition and accommodation. The University ensures submission of documents to State Migration Service of Ukraine for temporary residence permit completing. Posvidka is a document certifying the identity of a foreigner or a stateless person and confirms the legal grounds for temporary residence in Ukraine. Posvidka is issued for the period of study, which is determined by the order of the University according to established periods of study for foreign students. In order to prepare a complete package of documents for the further registration of Posvidka, a foreigner or a stateless person who has arrived in Ukraine for the purpose of study shall submit the following documents to the International Centre: - a passport or an ID document with a type D (D-13) visa, unless otherwise provided by the legislation and international agreements of Ukraine; - translation into Ukrainian of a passport (or an ID document) with personal data certified by a public notary in Ukraine; - a valid health insurance certificate for the whole period of study. The documents should be handed over to the International Centre within five working days after arriving to CUSPU, but not later than 30 days before the expiration of the visa. Accommodation and meals CUSU offers students’ hostel, costing 20 USD per a month, and nutrition, costing 5 USD per a day and up. How to get an invitation

Entry to Ukraine is based on the entry visa arranged through Ukraine Embassy. Ground for student visa is an original invitation to training. “Invitation to study” is issued by CUSU due to foreigner’s application after providing the following documents:  

  • copy of the first page of the applicant’s passport which is valid for at least one year;
  • copy of the document certifying the last completed education (a diploma and the annex);
  • consent to personal data collection and processing(signed and scanned);
  • payment for visa support services and for postal services of the delivery of the Invitation letter.

Bank details and payment methods will be sent to you by e-mail. Documents must be sent in a scanned form to the International Centre. E-mail: [email protected] As a rule, Invitation is sent by express delivery, which is paid by the applicant. The applicant must specify the exact postal address, telephone/fax number.

Preparatory department

Preparatory Department for foreigners and stateless persons encourages students to learn the Ukrainian language, general subjects (biology, chemistry, physics, computer science, mathematics, etc.) to study further at our university or in higher educational institutions of medical and biological, engineering and humanitarian profiles. Foreign students are of special attention of the department staff. Educational process is conducted at a high professional level. Students are fully provided with scientific literature, learner’s guides and materials. Modern educational technologies are used to ensure successful acquiring of the subjects. Teachers of Preparatory Department aim at systematizing geographic, sociocultural and socio-political knowledge of foreigners; deepen their professional outlook, exploring various aspects of society of independent Ukraine today. Terms of study Preparatory Department trains foreigners to study at Volodymyr Vynnychenko Central Ukrainian State University or other educational institutions in different specialties. Form of education: full time.

Admission to the Preparatory Course is subject to:

  • full general secondary education,
  • university Invitation. The number of students in the group varies from 5 to 10 people.

Formation of groups is carried out according to the arrival of students. Students of different nationalities may study in one group. The cost of the Preparatory Course depends on the duration of the course and the number of students in a group.
