Preparatory department for foreigners and stateless persons

Preparatory Department for foreigners and stateless persons encourages students to learn the Ukrainian language, general subjects and a subject on specialty to study further at our university or in higher educational institutions of medical and biological, engineering and humanitarian profiles.

Foreign students are of special attention of the department staff. Educational process is conducted at a high professional level. Students are fully provided with scientific literature, learner’s guides and materials. Modern educational technologies are used to ensure successful acquiring of the subjects. Preparatory Department is also aimed at systematizing geographic, sociocultural and socio-political knowledge of foreigners; deepen their professional outlook, exploring various aspects of the society of independent Ukraine today.

Terms of study:

The term of study at the preparatory department is 8 months.

Form of education: full time.

Curricula of the preparatory department for foreigners and stateless persons are designed for 30 academic weeks, about 26 hours of working time per week.

The number of students in the group varies from 5 to 15 people. Formation of groups is carried out according to the arrival of students. Students of different nationalities are supposed to study in one group.

LIST OF DOCUMENTS AND PROCEDURE FOR THEIR SUBMISSION

In accordance with the Procedure for the recruitment and training (internship) of foreigners and stateless persons approved by the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated November 1, 2013 No. 1541, registered with the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on November 25, 2013 No. 2004/24536

To enter the educational institution, a foreigner personally submits a statement in paper form to the relevant structural unit / admission committee.

By the application the foreigner adds:

1) a document (the original and its copy) of the previously acquired educational (educational qualification) level, on the basis of which the introduction is made;

2) the application (the original and its copy) to the document on the previously acquired educational (educational-qualification) level, on the basis of which the entrance is made (if any);

3) academic certificate issued by a foreign / Ukrainian educational institution (in case of transfer or renewal of studies, from the second year, academic background is attached);

4) the original and a copy of the document, which contains information on the content of the curriculum by the previous level of higher education, the credits received, the duration of studies and the success of the academic disciplines at entering the master's degree or postgraduate education;

5) a copy of the passport of the foreigner or a document certifying the identity of the stateless person;

6) a health insurance policy, except as otherwise provided in international treaties of Ukraine;

7) 4 photos of size 30 x 40 mm;

8) a copy of the certificate of a foreign Ukrainian;

9) there are additionally submitted at the entrance to the postgraduate studies: a research proposal on the chosen scientific specialty or a list of published scientific works and inventions in the Ukrainian or English language, certified in the established manner at the place of work / training of the candidate.

To be admitted to the doctoral program, there should be given additionally in the Ukrainian or English language:

• thematic plan of dissertation work for obtaining a scientific degree of the Doctor of Sciences;

- a copy of the diploma on having obtained the corresponding degree;

10) foreigners applying for academic mobility programs submit documents approved by the rules of admission to a higher education institution and / or stipulated by the requirements of international programs and / or contracts in which academic mobility is implemented.

The documents specified in subparagraphs 1 – 5 of this paragraph must be translated into Ukrainian with a notarized translation of the certificate.

Documents referred to in subparagraphs 1 – 4 of this paragraph shall be certified in the country of issue in the manner that is officially applied in that country for such certification and legalized by the relevant foreign institution of Ukraine, except as otherwise provided in international treaties of Ukraine.

The application and the documents specified in this paragraph are kept in the personal affairs of the entrants / students.

In addition to the documents mentioned above, while applying to magistracy or postgraduate studies, foreigners also submit other relevant documents in accordance with the established procedure.

Training of foreign citizens

The training of foreigners at Volodymyr Vynnychenko Central Ukrainian State Pedagogical University is carried out in full-time and part-time forms of training on the basis of documents of prior education, which were received not earlier than 10 years before the date of application for admission to an institution of higher education (except for applications for admission to postgraduate studies, doctoral studies, postgraduate education) in accordance with the Procedure for the recruitment and training (internship) of foreigners and stateless persons, approved by the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 1541 dated November 1, 2013.

The condition of enrollment of a foreigner for obtaining a certain educational qualification level is having a good command of the language of instruction, Ukrainian, sufficient for the acquisition of educational material, which is confirmed by the conclusion of the admissions committee.

Foreigners are enrolled to study on the results of the interview.

Foreigners, for whom the university's admission committee has established the necessity for language training for basic education, are obliged to get a course at the preparatory department for foreign citizens and stateless persons.

Foreign citizens who have received a master's degree may be admitted to the postgraduate studies on the terms of the contract for the preparation and defense of theses for a candidate's degree (Doctor of Philosophy) according to the recommendation of the corresponding department.

The content and conditions of training are determined by the Procedure for the training of higher education graduates in gaining the degree of Doctor of Philosophy and Doctor of Sciences in higher educational establishments (scientific institutions), approved by the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated March 23, 2016, No. 261.

The cost of living in the hostels of the university is not included in the tuition fee and is paid by students in accordance with the rates established for the current academic year.

Media Courses are organized by Volodymyr Vynnychenko Central Ukrainian State Pedagogical University, Department of Publishing and Editing.
