On 29th February 2020 America House Kyiv kindly welcomed the semi-finalists of the National Public Speaking Competition 2020 organized by the English-Speaking Union Ukraine.
18 semi-finalists did great interpreting our topic “Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced” in unique ways. We discussed change. We shared our ideas and experience and our variable backgrounds contributed a lot to presenting numerous distinct solutions to challenges of the 21st century through first and foremost adequate communication. After an intense discussion the judges chose 7 finalists. And I almost couldn’t believe it when I heard my name. Who would know that about an hour later I would be announced the winner of National Public Speaking Competition 2020!

Come join us for the Finals of the National Public Speaking Competition on Saturday, February 29 starting from 10.30 a.m. at America House Kyiv, and don’t miss a chance to experience a wordy battle of a lifetime between the contestants.
The Conveners of the English-Speaking Union Ukraine have great pleasure in announcing the beginning of the National Public Speaking Competition 2019-2020.
The competition will run from 1 October, 2019 until 29 February, 2020.
The competition is open to students aged between 16 and 20 in full-time education at the time of the competition. Competitors must be passport holders of Ukraine and must have a valid foreign passport or travel document.
The winner of the National Public Speaking Competition will represent Ukraine in the International Public Speaking Competition that will be held in May 2020 in London.
